Want to spend just several hours learning to Bird?
The grounds of American Village are a well-kept secret of the Broad Ripple area of Indianapolis. Once an ornithology lab for a local college, the setting provides a diverse environment to sight birds...a lake, woods, and fields that provide shelter, food, and nesting places for birds native to Indiana and also migrating flocks in spring and fall. Birdman Gray begins with an introduction of what may be seen, then the hike where birds are identified by sight and sound. The walks last about 1 1/2 hours. By appointment, we also have Lynne Arrowsmith available for photo hikes.
